CHALLENGE: To draw attention to the upcoming new Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson hotel opening.
SOLUTION: Construct a press release to announce the hotel’s construction and highlight it’s innovative features, impressive size and how the location is a big market draw that will only embrace the hotel more. I noted how ideal the location is to major New York City attractions, despite it’s New Jersey address.
The key elements of the press release is to tease the impending opening with a newsworthy, straightforward lead, answering the 5 W’s. The sweet spot was calling out how strong the interest already is with high sales ready for opening weeks.
The target audience is mostly business travelers and local businesses and residents interested in the event spaces. Coverage was therefore targeted towards business travel trade and local news publications.
RESULTS: Announcement was covered in the New York Post, Air Trans Arrivals and Hotel & Motel Management for Hyatt Jersey City opening. An article was also secured in Business Travel News, see below from print version.
